How To Make BAKED VADA PAV Recipe

BAKED VADA PAV



Ingredients


Flour 2 cups
Sugar 2 tsp heaped
Dry yeast 2 tsp heaped
Salt ½ tsp
Oil 2 tbsp
Butter 1 tbsp


METHOD


Mix all together, form it into the soft dough, add 1 tbsp butter, mix well and leave to rise until double in volume.


Ingredients for Filling


Oil 1 tsp
Mustard seeds ½ tsp
Curry leaves 10 chopped
Green chili chopped 1 tsp
Ginger garlic chopped 2 tsp
Onion chopped 1 cup
Turmeric ½ tsp
Potato boiled and mashed 1 cup
Coriander leaves 2 tbsp
Lemon juice 2 tbsp
Egg 1 for brushing


METHOD


Heat oil add curry leaves and mustard seeds with all the chopped veggies, mix well, add seasonings and mashed potatoes, mix all together, remove and keep aside. Now take the risen dough, punch down well, make into 8 or 10 equal pieces, pick up 1 piece slightly flattened on your hand, pull sides spread with aalu masala, roll tightly to form into a ball, put in a greased loaf pan, leave to rise for 1 hour covered, brush with beaten egg, bake for 20 mins on 180 D. Tasty vada pav is ready.
